RECENT AMERICAN EXPLOIT ARMY BOMBERS USED LONDON, Mav 11. Some information regarding the recent American air raids on Japanese cities has now been released in a War Department communique issued in Washington. The raids were carried out on April 18 by American army bombers, and big fires were started, and in some cases these burned for two days. Military, naval, and industrial establishments in and near Tokio. Yokohama, and Nagoya were attacked from a low altitude with heavy incendiary and demolition bombs. It is stated that while the raiders were approaching Tokio propaganda broadcasts were being issued proclaiming Japan as a land free from bombing. A little later the broadcasts were announcing between 3000 and 4000 casualties, the results of a bombing attack.
