APPROACH TO GOVERNMENT
Representations are to be made to the Government by the Wellington City Council that the full cost of hospital and charitable aid services should be borne by the Social Security Fund. Pending a reply to these, that section of the year’s estimates dealing with the payment of the hospital levy is to be held up, and the rates will not be struck.
