RAIDS ON BRITAIN
TWO BOMBERS DESTROYED (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, May 10. Two German bombers are now known to have been destroyed over Britain on Friday night, one by an R.A.F. mobile balloon barrage. The raider crashed into the balloon after colliding with its cable and set the balloon on fire. The impact tore a large piece of metal off the bomber which qrashed a mile away. The Luftwaffe attacked Norwich last night. The Evening Standard reveals that Exeter was considerably damaged in the recent reprisal air raids.
