ADMITTED BY NAZIS PROGRESS IN SEVERAL SECTORS (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. A Moscow communique statesi that the Russians on a sector on the northwest front line captured three populated places. The Germans lost 1200 killed in two days in unsuccessful counter-attacks. The Russians are advancing on the Kalinin front, where fierce fighting is occurring. The German radio said the Russians are repeatedly attacking the Donetz front, and to the east of Kharkov the Russians have launched a strong tank attack to the south-east of Lake Ilmen. A Soviet supplementary communique states that on several sectors of the north-west front the Russians have inflicted heavy losses on the enemy. In one day a Soviet unit killed 450 Germans and captured booty, including 25 mortars and 31 machine guns. In another sector on the same front the Russians surrounded the enemy in three localises. German counterattacks failed, and in two days 1200 Germans were killed. The suburbs of a town on the southern front were penetrated b"* the Russians, and street fighting is still in progress.
