HARRIERS

The Civil Service Club held its run from the Anderson's Bay School, a fair muster turning out. The pack ran past Tomahawk and then up the hills to the monument. On the way home to the school, Bradshaw, Drummond, and Metcalf showed good form. The Leith Harrier Club held its weekly run from the Caversham Methodist Church. Following the Main South road to Lookout Point, the pack ran across paddocks to Miller Park, and back along the road. In the run home R. G. McKinley was first, K. Campbell second, and R. Rigby third. The St. Kilda Club held a run from the residence of Mr and Mrs J. E. Still, Surrey street. The fast pack, under Club Captain P. Walker, ran in the vicinity of St. Clair hills. A short run home was held, in which W. Mackintosh, F. Sutherland and P. Walker filled the first three places. The slow pack, numbering 12, ran in the vicinity of the St. Clair golf links. W. Campbell, S. Falconer, and J. Gladding showed up prominently. The Caversham Club held a run on Saturday from the home of one of its members, L. Gerrie. The fast pack, under the whistle of Gilbert Hebbard, ran along the Highcliff road to the soldiers' monument and then down to Smail's Beach and home through Tomahawk. In a good run home L. Hebbard was first, followed by L. Gerrie and J. Halels. The slow pack followed a similar course and the run home resulted in D. Mercier finishing first, H Lucas second, and G. Abercrombie third. After the run the members of the club were the guests of Mr and Mrs L. Gerrie at afternoon tea.
