TREATMENT OF SERBS

SHOCKING REVELATIONS (Rec. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 8. The Jugoslav Government, in a memorandum, describes the Hungarian atrocities as the greatest known by the human race for 1000 years. Of 1000 families, almost every Serb in Topola was murdered.

An eye witness found one old woman locked in a house and dying of starvation. She said that women and girls were raped, stripped, tarred, and dragged through the streets to the outskirts of the town, where they were murdered. Students and school children were shot outside a school. Thirteen thousand persons of both sexes in Novisad were placed in concentrations behind barbed wire so closely that they could not lie down. Their only food was grass. The orphan children were so famished that they bit their fingers and sucked the blood. The people in a Novisad street, which was destroyed, were shot. The Rivers Tisa and Danube and the KraljaAlexsander and the Kralja-Petra canals are full of dismembered corpses.
