BAR TO D.F.C.
AWARD TO NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, May 7. The bar to the D.F.C. Iflis been awarded to Squadron Leader Richard Macklow Trousdale, of Howick. New Zealand, who is a member of a Royall Canadian Air Force Squadron. The citation states that Squadron Leader Trousdale is an exceptionally skilful and keen fighter pilot, and he has destroyed eight hostile planes, of which five were shot down at night. Squadron Leader Trousdale, who was born in 1921. was commissioned in the R.A.F. in 1939. He was awarded the D.F.C. in February, 1941.
