ATTACK ON A CONVOY

A GERMAN CLAIM RUGBY, May 6.

The Germans have been making substantial claims in the past few days concerning an attack which they say was made by German naval units in the Arctic against a British convoy bound for Russia. No account of this attack has been, given by the British Admiralty, but since ships while at sea maintain wireless silence, full reports would not reach the Admiralty until the vessels reach port. It is clear, however, that with the lengthening days attacks on convoys to and from Russia are likely to be intensified.
