Practically all the ergot collected in the Gisborne district for .medicinal purposes during the summer has been disposed of to merchants, and a total of 161 b lloz has been accounted for. The maximum value for the best conditioned ergot is 8s per lb, and the total value of the Gisborne collection cannot be much more than £6, even if all of it was of the finest quality. The best is cheapest in the long runorder Kaitangata Coal.—Advt.
