Mrs Tui Gordon, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. T. Knewstubb. of Port Chalmers, / has arrived safely in Melbourne from Malaya. Mr Gordon, who was interested in the- tin mining industry at Ipoh, • has been fighting- out. forces, and is also reported; fit and well. •;.'. ,' •' . ; L
Major Philip ] G. Norman, who has been of the inebriates' homes at Roto! Roa and Pakatoa Islands for the last seven year* and a-half, has been' appointed director of the Salvation Army institute at a military camp.' He will commence his new duties on February 19.
