BOMB DESIGNER
DECORATED BY HIS MAJESTY .. • ::: RUGBY, Feb. 4. Air Commodore Patrick Huskinson, designer of some of Britain’s most powerful bombs, was among those who attended the investiture held recently in Buckingham;: Palace; Commodore Huskinson, whose eyesight was impaired in an air raid on London last year when he stood at the window of a flat in order to see the effect of German bombs bursting, was wearing dark glasses and carried a Walking stick when he was led on to the dais by one of the gentlemen ushers to the King. The King invested ;him with the C. awarded in the New Year honours. r Officers of the three services and a number of civilians attended. The officers included Commander R. Dewhurst, of the submarine Rorqual, .who had the distinction of being' decorated with the D.S.O. and two bars awarded for attacks on enemy shipping. Another submarine commander, Commander R. Mills, of His Majesty’s Tetrarch, which also made a number of successful attacks against enemy shipping, received the D.S.O. and D. and a bar. ,
Among the generals who attended the investiture was Lieutenant-general B. C. T. Paget, G.0.C., of the Home Forces, who was knighted and invested with the K.C.B. Four nurses received the Royal Red Cross and nine Army officers received the George Medal.
