EUROPE TO-DAY
CAULDRON OF HATRED HITLER HOLDING THE LID AMERICAN'S PREDICTIONS (Rec. 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb, 4. “ Bulgaria is so pro-RusSian that there is no doubt whatever that Bulgarian troops would have mutinied if sent to Russia to fight,” said Mr George Earle, former United States Minister in Bulgaria. “ Never in all history has there been such a tidal wave of hatred in Europe as is now welling up against the Germans.” Mr Earle expressed the opinion that Hitler had not got enough men to hold the lid on the cauldron of hatred much longer. The Germans were so short of man-power that boys under 15 years of age and men over 75 were being used in non-combatant such as Customs. ' Mr Earle said the Bulgarian people were shocked and saddened beyond words when the United States entered the war.
