PETROL FOR FARMERS
ASSURANCE BY MINISTER (F.0.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. " The farmers need have no fear that they will be unable to satisfy their oil fuel requirements for the sowing or harvesting of their crops," said the Minister of Supply, Mr D. G. Sullivan, to-day. To safeguard the Dominion's wheat supplies it was essential that the farmers should not reduce their sowings, the Minister said. Some farmers, he understood, had been afraid that oil fuel might not be.. available to meet their future requirements. They need have no fear in that direction. Where arable interests were not represented on petrol advisory committees a representative would be co-opted.
