ALEXANDER MINES The report of the Alexander Mines for the month of January states that all the stone mined for the month came from the stopes north of No. 2 rise. These stopes are widening out going south, but are turning much, flatter. Forty tons and a-half have been broken and transported to the mill,'making a total of 120 tons for the month, .. ; '■;■'■■ WEST COAST DREDGES (P.A.) On a recant evening a Wyndham angler observed a ten-shilling note rolling about in an eddy. After about a quarter of an hour's solid angling with the minnow the prize was duly landed, a little torn perhaps, but nevertheless "good weight" when it was presented to the local bank for payment.
