TASMAN AND UNION AIRWAYS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 3. For the year to December 31, Tasman Enipire Airways, Ltd., carried 1971 passengers, 40,4821 b of freight, 173,4171 b of mails, flew 2,570,120 passenger miles, 24,213 freight ton miles, and. 103,747 mail ton miles. The machines flew 1457.09 hours, and travelled 222,440 miles. Of the 170 trips scheduled, 166 were flown, a percentage of 97.65. The percentage of total load capacity handled was 93.72. The Union Airways return for the year shows that every scheduled trip was flown, and that 99.43 were completed. The passengers totalled 12,939, freight 28,9871 b, mail 107,1741 b, passenger miles flown 3,349,375, freight ton miles 3438, and mail ton mile.s 14,717. The machines flew 394,745 miles in 2714.45 hours. The trips scheduled numbered. 1056, and the trips completed 1050. The' percentage of passenger" load capacity handled was 85.48.
