PATIENTS AND PRISONERS
MEETING OF AID SOCIETY That outings for the inmates of the Wakari Hospital and the Pleasant Vailey Sanatorium would have to be curtailed owing to the petrol shortage was reported by the agent at the monthly meeting of the Patients and Prisoners' Aid Society yesterday. Mr P. Barr was in the chair and also present were Mesdames E. C. Reynolds, C. O. Mathias and D. Tannock, and Messrs D. Tannock, H. Renfree and E. T. Wood.
It was stated that the James Powell Convalescent Home had been full during January and that 34 patients were admitted during December. Various gifts of fruit and produce had been received by the society.
