WAR SACRIFICES
FREEZING WORKERS' COMPLAINT
(PA) INVERCARGILL, Jan. 29. At a meeting of the Makarewa branch of the Freezing Workers' Union, members contended that the burden of war should not be borne by labour and oonscripted man-power alone. It was stated hat the workers had been called upon to make sacrifices and endure hardships, while the dividends of the various manufacturing and processing concerns had risen to new records. The following resolution was passed: ' Following on the conscription of males between the ages of 16 and 66 in the production group, we demand that the Government put into operation its policy of conscription of wealth immediately."
