Captain A. A. Heath, of Mbsgiel, who recently returned from overseas on furlough, .will leave for a northern ramo on Tuesday. to join the New Zealand Dental Corps. Advice has been received that' Sapper lan B§gg, son of Mr and Mrs Hugh Begg, 'of Christ-church, and formerly of Dunedin. who was potted missing in Crete, is a prisoner of war.

Principal A. L. Haddon will leave this morning for Wellington to lecture at the inter-denominational -.conference of youth workers and Jater; to attend a meeting of the Foreign Mission Council at Nelson, and a meeting of the Campaign, Committee of the National Council of Churches. Chaplain Captain W. H. Greenslade, minister of Central Methodist Church, Invercargill, has been granted indefinite leave of absence. The officials of the church propose, to request the New Zealand Methodist Conference, which' will sit in Wellington next month, to appoint a minister to superintend the circuit temporarily. Chaplain Captain Greenslade is attached to the Otago Regiment in mobilisation camp.

M. Wilson, Stringer, Ward, Burnard, Mackersey, Sargent, Blake, Farrew, Jordan, Gordon, Paterson, Angus, MacDonald, Austin, and Horsley. . Passengers for the north by - air yesterday were: Mr R. D. Halste'ad and Mr G. McDonald for Christchurch, Mr T. Tomkins, Mrs J. A. Ringrose and infant, Mr W. H. Jagusen, and Mr C. R. Edmond for Wellington. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were: Mrs Johnson, Mrs S. J. Craig, and Mr Chapman from Wellington, Mr A. J. Pascoe and Mr J. Laws from Christchurch.
