WAR CASUALTIES
NEW ZEALAND AIRMEN (P.A.) . WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. The following air casualties were announced to-day (ajl are members of the R.N.Z.A.F. except where otherwise seated) :■';;■ ' ; ' Arthur, Sergeant Vincent, missing; mother, Mrs F. A. Arthur, Inglewood. Farr, Pilot Officer Leonard Raymond; died of injuries received in action; father. Mr L. Farr, Auckland. Fotheringham, Sergeant Robert Ewan Ernest, previously reported missing, believed killed, in July, 1941, death now officially presumed; mother, Mrs M. Fotheringham, Takapuna. Thompson, Sergeant Colin Maurice, pre- * viously reported.'missing, now reclassified as missing, believed ' killed; father, Mr R. J. Thompson, Christchurch. Chisholm, Pilot Officer Robert Stanley, R.A.F., previously reported missing, believed Killed in June, 1941, death now officially presumed; father, Mr Chisholm, Wellington.
REPORTED MISSING FLIGHT LIEUTENANT STRANG (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Jan. 28. Advice has been received by his parents that Flight Lieutenant Harold Strang, officer commanding the New Zealand Fighter Squadron, has been reported missing as the result of operations. Flight Lieutenant Strang went overseas in March, 1940, and has taken part in many operations.
