BRYDONE HALL
USE AS EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IMMEDIATE CONVERSION The taking over of Brydone Hall in His Majesty's Theatre building, Crawford street, by the Otago Hospital Board, for immediate conversion for use as an emergency hospital was announced yesterday by the chairman of the board, Mr J. W. Dove. He said that sanitary and other alterations, including the provision of kitchen facilities, would have to be made, and that certain steps had already been taken in connection with the matter. The hospital would contain approximately 150 beds. Details of the plans for the conversion of the building were discussed by the hospital authorities with the Minister of Health, Mr A. H. Nordmeyer, yesterday morning.
