“ Inquirer,” Cromwell. —The disabled soldier is not entitled to the family allowance if he is already receiving a pension which made provision for the child. f “ Inquirer.”—The houses on the Government allotments at Cape Saunders are State owned. Inquiries in respect of tenancy should be made from the Lands and Survey Department, Chief Post Office Building. “Argument,” Taieri Mouth.—A man may draw the age benefit at 60, but a means test applies. National superannuation, in respect of which there is no means test, is payable at the age of 65. “ Ignorant.”—(l) Either the sender or yourself, preferably the former, should call at the inquiry counter at the Chief Post Office and obtain a missing letter inquiry form. If this is filled in, the department will make whatever inquiry is possible. (2) A breach of the law would not be committed, but such a course is unwise.
