TAKEN FROM MOORINGS INVERCARGILL OWNER'S LOSS Last seen crossing the bar of the New River Estuary at Invercargill j at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday, the 28ft yawlrigged auxiliary launch Seabird has since been reported missing. It was unlawfully taken# from its moorings, and the police have reason to suspect that the person who converted it had with him a supply of fuel, and provisions.
The launch is owned by Mr William Duncan, of Invercargill, and is painted white and fitted with tan-coloured sails. Attached to the launch when it was last seen was a dinghy, painted white, with a green band round it.
