Mrs C. Penman has returned from a visit to Lake HJawea. Mrs Noel McGttegor, of Mount Linton Station, Southland, is visiting Dunedin.
Mrs F. R. Wignjsy has returned from a four months’ yisit to Australia, and is residing at “ Galashiels,” St. Clair. Mrs G. M. Boyfd, who has been visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs Colin Speight, at “Wfether Hill,” Ohai, returned yesterday to Dunedin.
Miss Mary Hodgkinson, who has been the guest of Mjrs R. C. T. Evans, of Queen street, returned yesterday to her home in Aucklsmd.
A patient at tlhe Auckland Infirmary, Mrs Jane Priesltly, celebrated her one hundred and third birthday last week. Retaining her 'faculties to an exceptional degree, f Mrs Priestley still enjoys remarkably good health. She comes of longrhved stock, her father having died alj the age of 103.
According to) cabled advice the wedding has takejn place in England of Dr L. Hammond Aitken, M.A. (Cantab.), F.R.C.S.I (England), only son of Mr and Mrs Alexander Aitken, “ Dursley,” Duart ro)ad, Havelock North, and Iris, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Webber, ‘New Walden.” Surrey, England.
