At the. monthly meeting last night of the council of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, the president (Mr S. Lawn) referred to the death of Mr P. C. Hislop who, for many years, had been a member of thfe chamber. Although, Mr Lawn said, Mr Hislop had noj served on the council of the chamber, he was well known to members on account of his connection with the motor trade; his services in the interests of motorists being extensive. On Mr Lawn's motion, a resolution of sympathy with the relatives was passed, the members present standing in silence.
