ABERDONIAN REPLY
When the Rev. W. Bovver, Black, Auckland, visited Aberdeen he noticed an elaborate building near the foreshore. In an article in the Outlook he recalls that when his guide told him it was a dance hall he commented in a shocked voice, "Surely the Aberdeen people do not hold dances on Sunday? " Without batting an eyelid, the guide replied. "Oh, that's for the veesitors, ye ken."
