BUSINESS AS USUAL
WELLINGTON PICTURE THEATRES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. For the present, picture theatres, in Wellington will be carrying on as usual, but, as one exhibitor pointed out this morning, circumstances might arise which would necessitate an alteration in the existing arrangements. In case of a \ total black-out, most of the picture houses will be able to carry on without infringing the regulations, but, he added, he could see- no point in closing at 9.30 p.m., as was apparently being done in Auckland. ' . EARLY CLOSING IN AUCKLAND (pk.) .' AUCKLAND; Dec:Tls? An emergency order that all picture theatres in the city area should close at 9.30 took effect to-night. Fifteen theatres situated in Queen street, Karangahape; road and Upper Symonds street were affected. Of these, three started their evening sessions at 7, two at 7.15, and the rest at 7.30. The suburban theatres were not affected.
