SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS APPEAL

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —Once again we have the Christmas season close upon us—the time when we try to bring a little extra happiness and cheer into the homes of those who are less fortunate in our midst. The aged, the sick and the lonely will not be forgotten nor - will those who are battling against adverse circumstances. May I thank those who have so wonderfully helped us during the year to carry on our work in this direction? Donations or gifts in kind for the Christmas Cheer may be sent to 37 Dowling street (telephone 13-207).—1 am, etc., M. Dickinson, Adjutant. Dunedin, December 5.
