TWO SHIPS A DAY
AMERICA'S OBJECTIVE (Rec. 1 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 4. The Maritime Commission announced that the goal of one new. merchantman a day will be reached this month, when 30 will be launched. It is expected expected that 39 will be launched in January and 40 in February, and the ultimate objective of two ships a day will be reached in June, 1942.
