A MATTER OF CONSCIENCE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. Appealed . far by the Director of National Service (Mr J, S. Hunter), Edward Richard Collins and Robert Martin Williams, of the Physicists' DeSartment of Scientific and Industrial esearch, made conscientious objection before the aboard against being held back from activa combatant service. They said their work was not essen- • tial, and they wished to join the Fleet Air Arm. The cases were held over for further inquiry.'
