Thursday, November 27 '' (Before Mr H. J. Dixor.. S.M.) Undefended Cases; Judgment by default was {liven for the plaintiffs in the following cases:—Commissioner qf Taxes v. John James Arthur (St. Leonards), claim £9 Is 6d for income tax due, with costs (15s); S. J. Andrew v. F. Johnson (Momona), claim £5 Is for goods supplied, with costs (£2 4s 6d). Judgment Summonses Anderson's Motor Body Works, Ltd., v. J. Fairbairn. claim £4 8s 9d on a judgment summons.-The debtor did not appear and an order was made for immediate payment of the amount with costs (8s). in default five days' imprisonment. Alexander Nesbit v. Will am Wright, claim £ls 14s on a judgment summons. —There was no appearance of the debtor, who was ordered to pay the amount with costs (£1) forthwith, in deiault 14 days' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended conditional on the debtor paying 15s immediately and 7s 6d a week until the debt is discharged. Tenancy Cases Horace Wilson (Mr R. L. Fairmaid) proceeded against C. A. Gregg claiming possession of' a dwelling in York place and arrears of rent amounting to £27 15s 6d. —Judgment was given for the amount claimed with costs (£4 lis 6d) and an order was made for possession on or before December 11. Vera Eileen Wix proceeded against Frederick Charles Schmelz on a claim for possession of a tenement in Musselburgh.—Mr R. A. King appeared for the plaintiff and Mr A. J. Haub, on behalf of the Labour Department, represented the defendant.—After hearing evidence his Worship adjourned the case until December 11 to allow the defendant to secure alternative accommodation.
