IDLE AXIS SHIPS
,USE ON ATLANTIC ROUTES LATIN-AMERICAN PLAN (Rec. 0.30 a.m. NEW YORK. Nov. 26. The Washington correspondent of the Journal of Commerce says the plan of the Latin American countries to utilise 85 immobilised Axis vessels for North Atlantic trade moved a step further when eight South American Republics approved a proposal based on the principle, which is described as an effort to see that vessels now idle in American ports are utilised on particular routes carrying articles of a specific nature in order to promote the defence of the economies of the American Republics, as well as the peace and security of the continent.
