A considerable degree of fatigue noticed towards the end of the school day by a teacher at the Fitzroy School, New Plymouth, has been traced to apparent long hours of work done by some of the boys before and after school. The fact that one boy was rising at 3.45 a.m. each day and working no less than 42J hours a week was discovered in the investigation, the results of which were placed before the Taranaki Education Board at a recent meeting.
