Bowling.— On Saturday two rinks from the Omakau Club travelled to Bannockburn, the scores being as follows (Omakau names first): — E. Read, W. Lennon. R. Foulkes, W. Mclntosh 28. B. Burrows. T. Crdbbe, J. Menzies, W. Toms 9: D. Maclean. H. Oaten, E. Naylor, A. Milne 25, W. Sutherland, B. Lawrence, J. Hodson, C. W. Henderson 15. The following players will represent Omakau in a two-rink match against Alexandra at Omakau on Saturday; J. Jeffs, C. Drake, W. Ward, A. Milne: G. Naylor, D. Maclean, E. Naylor, E. Read. Challenge button games during the week resulted: E. Read defeated R. Foulkes (holder), 10 —7, A. Prisk beat E. Read 11—10, D. Maclean beat A. Prisk 12—5, D. Maclean beat C. Drake 11—5, and W. Ward 10—6. E. Naylor has the next challenge. Lawn Tennis.—At Omakau on Saturday the Omakau A team defeated Clyde by 9 sets to 7. In the B Grade section Omakau (7 sets) were defeated by Matakanui (9 sets) on the latter’s courts. As Becks .defaulted to Poolburn No. 1, and the Poolburn No. 2 team had a bye, a match was played between the Poolburn teams, Poolburn No. 1 winning 9—7.
