GREAT WAR FUNDS COMMITTEE

At the monthly meeting of the Great War Funds Committee Miss Belle McLean presided. , Mesdames Ritchie, Neill. and Batchclor submitted reports for the hospital visitors. There were 45 soldier patients at the Duit efliri Hospital, six at Talboys, and six ar Wakari. The men generally were feeline the benefit of the treatment received. A word of thanks was due to members o:' the hospital staffs for their kindness and attention. In regard to the Montecillo Home. Acting Matron Stewart reported that during the month three returned men had been admitted. Twenty-six territorials had been admitted and 22 discharged. In tho home now were 22 returned men and four territorials. A number : of very acceptable gifts had been received. In regard to'the Christmas season, it was resolved specially to remember returned men in hospital. In reference to Imperial men, it was left with Miss Graham to arrange for Christmas cheer. Miss McLean said that it was regretted that the president, the Rev. Bryan King was at present in hospital. It was resolved to write to Mr King, conveying a message of sympathy and best wishes from all members.. . As this was the last business meeting for the year, Miss McLean said that she wished to thank sincerely all members for the great amount of time and thought they had given to the many matters claiming their attention.
