CHINESE-JAPANESE WAR
AMERICA MAY MEDIATE HONGKONG, (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) Nov. 24. An unconfirmed report is in circulation here to the effect that President Roosevelt has decided to send a special envoy, Mr Laughlin Currje, to Chungking to discuss American mediation in the Chinese-Japanese war and to present peace proposals to Marshal Chiang Kai-shek.
