OBITUARY
MR GEORGE ALLAN Advice has been received by air mail of the death, on October 26, at La Paz, Bolivia, in his sixty-ninth year, of Mr George Allan, founder and director of the Bolivian Indian Mission. Mr Allan, who was the youngest son of
Mr Joseph Allan, one of the pioneers of the Taieri district, left New Zealand with Mrs Allan in 1899 to engage in mission work in South America, and, after working in the field in that country for eight years, they returned to Dunedin. The Bolivian Indian Mission was then formed, and the organisation steadily grew until to-day it has a staff of over 60 workers. Mrs Allan died several years ago, and Mr Allan is survived by a daughter, Mrs M. Hudspeth, who is ' a member of the mission in Bolivia, and a son, Mr Joseph Allan, of Riverton. MR A. G. WASHER (PA.) WELLINGTON. Nov. 13. The death has occurred of Mr A. G. Washer, well-known for his association with wrestling administration in New Zealand. He came to Wellington from Christchurch and became secretary and treasurer of the Dominion Wrestling Union. MR J. H. WORBOYS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. The death of Mr J. H. Worboys occurred at Perth recently. He was aged 75. For 25 years he was head master of Kilbirnie School, retiring in 1921. He is survived by a son, Mr Harold Worboys, of Auckland, and a daughter, Mrs Ashton, of Perth.
