Bell proposed a vote of thanks. Hostesses: Mrs Crawford Anderson and Mrs J. Bell. Milburn-Clarendon.—Mrs Elliott presided. Roll call: "Schoolday incident. Talk: "Woman of the Century: Ellen Wilkinson. M.P." Book talks: Mrs Duthie, Miss Smart and Mrs J. Anlcich. Competitions: Bloom—Mrs Ashworth 1; Mrs Young 2. Mrs Taylor 3. Spike—Mrs Ashworth 1, Mrs Young 2, Mrs Stivens 3. Mrs Whittaker was hostess. Waikouaiti.—Mrs Aitcheson presided. Miss Macmillan gave two addresses on ' Spinning" and " Physical Culture." Miss Martin taught the members folk dances. Goods were sent to the Makogai Leper Station. The sum of £l2 17s from the Women's Division social was given for the Air Raid Distress Fund. . . . Tuapeka West.—Mrs Wilson presided. Peggy squares were handed in. The sum of £4 15s was voted to the local Red Cross funds. Social half-hour: Mrs E. Williams and Mr.s Atkinson. Hostesses: Mrs Atkinson and Mrs Williams. ~ , _ Ngapara.—Miss Butt presided. Parcels were handed in for the lepers. Competitions: Bloom—Miss N. Watson 1, Mrs Butt and Mrs A. Eckhold (equal) 2; short bread—Mrs A. Eckhold 1. Miss N Watson and Miss Butt (equal) 2; throw over—Mrs Butt 1, Miss Butt 2; onion, Miss N. Watson. Mrs A. Eckhold ,and Miss N. Watson were hostesses.'
