DUNEDIN FRENCH CLUB

The final meeting of the French Club's 1941 season was held at the Girls' High School on Monday night, Madame Bsllugue occupying the chair. The programme consisted of competitions and games, followed by the readings by Mesdames Connor and Bellugue of iwo amusing short stories from Daudet's " Lettres de Mon Moulin." A vote of appreciation was accorded Madams Bellugue for the excellent work she has done this year in leading the club's activities. The hope was expressed that next year the president, Dr G. E. Thompson, might once more be able to take an active part in the club's affairs, and that next year might also see the Free French people again celebrating July 14.
