MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs W. E. Shaw (chairman), C. J. Inder, G. W. Stuart, W. A. Scaife, and J. S. Adams. Application for Land The commissioner submitted for consideration the application received for a renewable lease over section 85, block VI, Maungatua S.D., area la Or I.4p.—The application made by Gertrude A. Bryant was granted. Stephen A. Bush applied for permission to occupy section 48, town of Brighton View extension No. 2 (lr) at present held under miscellaneous leass in the name of A. H. Hamer, deceased.—Mr Bush was granted permission to occupy the area from year to year. Jane McGillivray applied for permission to occupy section 7, block XXVII, town of Hawksbury (lr), at present held under E.R. licence (year to year) by G. G. Smith.—The application was granted. Andrew Leo Kearney applied for permission to occupy section 74, block 11, Tiger Hill S.D. (sa), formerly held under M.L. by the late R. Denham.— The application was granted. Charles Joseph Jelley applied for permission to occupy sections 32, 35, 36, 37. block VII, Tarras S.D., 876 a 2r 34p.—Permission was granted to occupy from year to year. Donald McLaren, sen., applied for a right to occupy an area adjoining the crib sites at Shag Point.—Permission was granted. Henry John Kershaw applied for a right to occupy a small area adjoining the crib sites at Shag Point.—Permission was granted. The commissioner submitted the applications received for sections 25, 28, 30, 33, 34, 35, and 36, block 11, Glenomaru S.D., 92a lr.—A. K. Kennedy proved succsssful at the ballot. James William Dalgety applied for a renewable lease of section la. Clareview settlement, 131 a lr 35p.—The application was granted as from October 8, 1941. James Alexander Cromb applied for permission to occupy section 23, block V, Maniototo S.D. (73a lr 25p), at present held under M.L. by Alexander Cromb. —Permission was granted. The commissioner submitted for consideration the granting of a temporary tenancy of part section 6, block XXXI, town of Havelock, approximately la, to James O'Connor. —Year-to-year tenancy was granted to Mr O'Connor. Cancellations The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of cancelling M.L. held bv William T. Parata. and covering section 109, block 11, Tiger Hill S.D., la 3r 39.6p.—1t was decided to cancel the licence as at October 10, 1941. Section 7a, Ekjerslie settlement. 9a 2r 35p, Waitaki County Council: Cancellation of year-to-year licence.—The licence was cancelled as at December 11. 1941. Licence Surrendered David L. Meikle applied to surrender his right to occupy 172 acres in block VII, Maruwenua S.D.—lt was decided to cancel the licence as at April 7, 1942. O.R.P. Licence Section 26, block XIV, Kimu S.D., 101 a 3r 28p: James Read applied to exchange O.R.P. licence to renewable lease. —The exchange was approved. Incorporation of Area The commissioner submitted for further consideration the question of including section 6, block XIII, Tigsr Hill S.D., containing 17a 3r 33p, in the renewable lease held by Gibson S. Barclay and at present covering section 4, block XIII. Tiger Hill S.D.—Approved.
