RED CROSS NEWS

The following articles would be greatly appreciated by the soldier patients at the Queen Mary Hospital, Hamper:—Lawn tennis rackets, golf clubs, used golf balls, games of all sorts, and old playing cards. These may be left at the secretary’s office, second floor, Queen’s Buildings. V.A. Meeting.— A meeting of all detachments of the Red Cross Voluntary Aids was held last Tuesday evening in the R.S.A. Hall, when the new commandants were appointed. Miss E. L. Wilkin, director of V.A.’s, congratulated the 134 medallion holders. Mrs Marshall Macdonald, of Wellington, gave an interesting address on hospital dietary and the serving of meals at the Clearing Hospital in Wellington. High praise was given by the speaker to the service rendered by the Voluntary Aids.

Physical Culture Class. —Miss D. O. Babies’ Sets. —The guild is delighted with the beautiful sets of babies’ clothes which the sub-centres of the Red. Cross Society send in. These are greatly appreciated.
