A WIN FOR HANHAM IP.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. Cliff Han ham. of Waimate. the professional middle-weight and light-heavy-weight boxing champion of the Dominion, had to sidestep nimbly at (he Wellington Town Hall to-night to gain a points decision over Les Strickland. of Wellington, in a bout of 12 rounds. Hrnham weighed 11-84 and Strickland half a pound lighter, but the latter had an advantage in height and reach. Boxing coolly. Strickland did most of the leading throughout, and kept the champion back-moving almost throughout the contest.
