RICH HARVEST REAPED

NAZI VESTED INTERESTS COMPETITION ELIMINATED (Rec. 9 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 17. Hitler’s new order, while turning all occupied Europe into a vast production arsenal for German needs—--3,500,000 foreign labourers are now under the German heel—has turned out very pleasantly and profitably for the German kings of industry and finance. Competition being eliminated all over Europe, a juicy monopoly, to cite an economic expert, is falling into the hands of a few groups. While these groups, such as the great chemical industry of I. G. Farbon, have undoubtedly Nazi sympathies, the working, of the new order has given them vested interests in Hitler’s autocratic system of running Europe. Huge profits are being made from ersatz industries and clearly the return to normal production after the war will put such groups as I. G. Farbon largely out of business.
