TYPIST’S BACK BURNED _ Burns to her back were suffered yes-. terday by a typist employed by the Automobile Association (Otago), Miss Wilma Reeves, aged- about 16, .daughter ; of Mr and Mrs James Reeves, of 4 Council street,' St. Kilda. •' She •, wfi standing with her back to an elector heater when her dress caught fire. Mrs Sophia Moore, fractured a thigh bone, and was brought to the Dunedin Hospital in a private car. She was admitted to hospital at 3.15 p.m. Her condition is not serious. - SUDDEN DEATH ON TRAIN (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 27. Becoming suddenly ill when the Rotorua express left Mercer to-day, a middle-aged man died on the tram. The body, which had not been identified to-night, was brought to Auckland. The only evidence of identification found on the body was a doctor’s prescription made out in the name of C. Smith. NAVAL RATING’S DEATH (P.A.)
