MOSGIEL HOME GUARD
At a social reunion of the Mosgiel Home Guard, the Mayor (Mr W. P. Hartstonge) presented Lieutenant Willsteed, who has, commanded the unit since its formation, and has been trans. ferred to Rakaia, with a fountain pen, a tobacco pouch, and a gold-mounted cigarette holder. Appropriate toasts were honoured, arid members joined in a community sing. Messrs G. Gibson arid Goodsfr (Brighton) contributed vocal solos, and Mr A. Wallace recitations. Major Robinson gave an interesting address, tracing the history of the Home Guard.
