BAKED HONEY AND APPLE PUDDING
Line a greased ovenproof dish with fingers of bread and butter (not too thin). Peel and slice roughly lilb cooking apples or enough to fill the prepared dish. Heat 1 cup honey, add 1 dessertspoon lemon juice, h teaspoon ground cinnamon, pour over apples and cover with more bread and butter. Sprinkle over a little brown sugar, and bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour. Serve hot or cold, but it is better hot.
