A DANGEROUS INTERSECTION

10 THE EDITOR Sir,—We would like to congratulate Mr F. J.' Sivertsen in bringing to the public notice the dangerous corner at Maitland and Princes streets. We have lived in this district for over 20 years, and thoroughly endorse his remarks. A pedestrian crossing would help to improve the position, and better lighting would be appreciated as this corner

was, even before the blackout, very poorly lighted. There have been many bad accidents during that time, but so far no improvements have been made. Large numbers of school children have occasion to cross these roads, and either a pedestrian crossing or traffic control would be welcomed, especially at lunch hour, when the traffic is particularly heavy. Trusting this matter will be taken up by the right authorities.—We are, etc., Richard M. Mabon, E. J. W. Hey, E. C. Anderson, T. G. Ferguson, M. C. McKinnon, P. M. Robertshaw, M. Burke, Jane Hughes, V. Hughes, G. Harris. June 17.
