PATRIOTIC FUNDS
GIFT FROM JUGOSLAV CLUB (P.k.) WELLINGTON, June 16. The National Patriotic Fund Board to-day received a cheque for £SO from the Wellington Jugoslav Club. Accompanying the donation was a letter from the club secretary, Mr N. Gabne, in which, on behalf of ■ the Jugoslav community, in Wellington, he expressed appreciation of the great struggle by the British peoples for the preservation o| democracy and their support of the war- effort. This is not the first time the National Patriotic Fund Board has received a cheque from Wellington Jugoslavs. In the middle of last year they made a donation of £2O. Another recent contribution received by the National Board was a cheque for £2lO from the Chatham .Islands Jockey Club, representing the proceeds of a patriotic race meeting held earlier in the year. A letter accompanying the cheque asked that £IOO be devoted to the Lord Mayor of London’s Relief Fund and the balance to the National Patriotic Fund,
