RATIONING IN BRITAIN
CHANGES ANNOUNCED (Rec. 7 p.m.) RUGBY, June 14. Changes in the ration of certain foodstuffs were announced to-day. From June 30 the cheese ration will be increased from one ounce to two ounces per head each week v and the butter ration will be reduced from four to two ounces. The total weekly fat ration, however, remains® unchanged. Britain's food' position is as good after 21 months' war as after nine. The Minister of Food. Lord Woolton, made this statement in a broadcast outlining the situation. "Hitler's heaviest blows," he said. " ere aimed at our lifeline—our food line. He won't succeed. He will fail because we have taken a long view." We had taken the best advice about essential foodstuffs and bought them all over the world. Lord Woolton edded that national health was as good as ever.
