Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— . Moderate south-west to west winds, freshening at times.: Weather cold and .changeable with occasional scattered showers, but bright intervals. " Further Outlook.—Moderate to fresh Winds- from a westerly quarter. Weather improving east of the ranges with a gradual rise in day temperatures. Weather in Dunedin—A cold blustering south-west wind prevailed On Saturday, and there were frequent rain showers. The. temperatures did not rise above 49 degrees. Pressure remained yew low, but was rising in the evening at 29.25 inches (990 millibars). Although fine, the weather was again bitterly cold yesterday, with the temperature not rising above 50 degrees. The barometer rose steadily throughout the day, but showed a falling tendency late last night, and stood at 29.50 inches (999 millibars) at midnight.
