Saturday, June 14 (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) Drunkenness Thomas Sheehan. who pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, was, fined 12s 6d, In default 24 hours' imprisonment. Fighting Waiter Henry Smith, aged 26, who was represented by Mr W. McAlevey. pleaded guilty to fighting in a public Place.— Senior Sergeant Vaughan explained that early that morning the defendant was haying a meal at a pie cart, when he got ( into ah altercation with the complainant The complainant." the senior sergeant added. ••was throwing his weight about, and offering to wrestle all-comers. He really brought the trouble on himself and does not deserve much consideration. —Remarking that had, the defendant withdrawn to some quiet spot instead of flenling in a public place, it would have been a different matter, the magistrate imposed a fine of 10s ._
